Newport on the Levee is Blooming with Excitement This Spring and Summer

To kick-off spring, NOTL will be jazzing it up as the first-ever Newport, KY Jazz Festival takes place Mother’s Day weekend, May 12th and 13th. Music lovers are invited down to the Newport Riverfront for a weekend of diverse jazz bands and great beverages! Headliners of the inaugural event include the modern jazz group, The Cincy Brass, and the renowned big band stylings of the Blue Wisp Band. Ticket prices range from $5 - $20 and are available for purchase at www.newportonthelevee.com and the day of the event.
Live music at the Levee continues as the largest patio party along the riverfront returns! Bud Light’s LIVE at the Levee presented by Nelson’s Tent Rental returns to Thursday nights on May 17th and runs through September 27th from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. on the Riverfront Plaza next to the Newport Aquarium. The 2012 free summer concert series has been extended from 8-weeks to 20-weeks and will now feature food booths, soft drink sales, and more alcohol varieties. And the music doesn’t end there! This summer, from July 4th – 14th, the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region will play host to the prestigious 2012 World Choir Games. This will be the first time that this remarkable choral spectacular will take place in North America and NOTL is proud to welcome some of the participating choirs to the property. The Levee is honored to have been selected as a host venue for two Friendship Concerts during the two-week musical event. The choirs will perform on Thursdays, July 5th and 12th as part of the LIVE at the Levee series.
